Precinct Chairs are the grassroots and backbone of the Republican Party. They are the boots on the ground, door knockers, information centers and community leaders. Our sole calling is that of volunteerism. We have lost many precinct chairs in the past 15+ months and it is imperative that we replace as many as possible ahead of the 2026 primary and mid-term elections. You can make a difference in your precinct to help reach Republicans in your area to be aware of upcoming elections and important information, whether they be national, state or local in nature. You may file now to fill the unexpired portion of the June 2024- June 2026 term. We need precinct chairs all over Dallas County! We need you! Current precinct chair terms end May 25, 2026. The 2026-2028 term begins May 26, 2026 and ends mid-June 2028. If you filed your application prior to December 8 and are unopposed on the March 3 primary ballot your term automatically begins as chair on May 26, 2026 and you will be sworn in at the organizational meeting of the Dallas County Republican Party. Some very few precincts were merged into larger ones due to Congressional redistricting. So now we have fewer precincts. Effective January 1, 2026, these changes will show up on the Dallas County Elections Department website.
